Join one of the many serving teams that bring our church to life each Sunday at SHCC. It takes MANY hands and feet to create environments which help people to LOVE GOD, FULLY FOLLOW CHRIST and SERVE OTHERS.

Ministry Area: Greeters/Hosts
Ministry Description: Greeters are at each door, welcoming all who arrive. Hosts serve inside the Worship Center, making sure everyone is comfortable during the service.
Time Investment: Monthly rotations. Greeters serve both services -15
minutes prior to each service and 10 minutes after each service begins; Hosts serve only one service—15 minutes prior to service until end of service
Team Leader: Diane Miller
Ministry Area: Steep Team (Coffee)
Ministry Description: A Steeper will arrive by 8am to prepare coffee, fill supplies, and clean up for Sunday morning services. Hospitality and ease in the kitchen is a must!
Time Investment: 2 weeks on every 4-6 weeks
Team Leader: Sandy Hughes
Ministry Area: Children’s Ministry—Elevate (4th & 5th grade)
Ministry Description: Sight and sound techs, worship leaders, small group leaders, small group assistants-the only prerequisites are loving God and loving kids. The rest can be learned!
Time Investment: 1 service each Sunday, rotating months
Team Leader: Dave and Chris Carlson
Ministry Area: Children’s Ministry—Large Group/Music Team
Ministry Description: Volunteers will lead children in music worship using MP3 songs/slides and DVDs. All resources will be predetermined during planning sessions, based on monthly curriculum.
Time Investment: 1 service each Sunday, rotating months

Ministry Area: Source Team (bookstore)
Ministry Description: Volunteers greet and assist people purchasing books & CDs.Time Investment: serve either 1st or 2nd service, 15 minutes before and after service
Team Leader: Ruthi Bryant
Ministry Area: Worship Arts: Sight and Sound Team
Ministry Description: Sight Team assembles/presents slides & light scenes for Sunday worship. Audio Team mixes live sound/ produces message CDs & web-based MP3s.
Time Investment: 2 Sunday rotations from 7:30 am -12:15 pm; Audio and Slide Techs include Wednesday 6:30-9 pm for rehearsals

S.O.S. (Servants On Standby) MINISTRY:
The SOS ministry is a way to unite the SHCC community in service to one another and to our community. It is a way to meet one-time, short-term physical and spiritual needs known within the SHCC family and our surrounding community. It is a way that WE can be the hands and feet of Christ to meet tangible needs!

What does S.O.S. do?
S.O.S. is intended to meet the one-time, short-term needs of an individual (intended to support non-cash requests for goods or services). An S.O.S. moderator pairs those in need with those willing to assist (members of the S.O.S. email distribution team).
Who is S.O.S. intended for?
It is intended to support the SHCC family and those they are in community with as a way to share Christ’s love for others.
How do I make an S.O.S. request?
Contact one of our SHCC moderators at 300-9401. If no one answers, please leave a detailed message with your contact name and number.
How do I become part of the S.O.S. team who serves individuals with requests?
