At SHCC, we provide full Children’s Ministry services during our 9:30 and 11:00 adult services. All classes are held in our Children’s Education Building. Kids will enjoy great bible teaching and participate in high-energy worship, safely surrounded by loving Shepherds. A fun place for your kids to learn about God and his love for them. They will love it, and you will too! We look forward to having you join us this Sunday!
Your First Visit
Immediately upon entering the Children’s Education Building, a Check-in volunteer will register your family, provide a secure nametag, give a tour of our facility and introduce you to your child’s Shepherd.
It is our deepest desire to help children understand who God is, how much He loves them and the relationship He wants to have with them. God has made each child unique -able to understand His love and respond at various times in their lives. Below are our age-groups and a few of the age-appropriate concepts our teachers share each Sunday with children:
Nursery 1 (0-9 mos.)→Nursery 2 (10-24 mos.)→Toddlers (2′s & 3′s)
- God loves them.
- God takes care of them through other people.
- God thinks they are special.
Preschoolers (4′s and 5′s)→Kindergarten/1st
- God is real and is everywhere, not just at church.
- God has power.
- God wants to talk to them.
- God wants a personal friendship with them.
2nd/3rd grade→4th/5th grade
- I connect with God through prayer, Bible reading, worship.
- God wants a response from me.
- God is in three persons: Father, Son, Holy Spirit
